AENEAS Project aims to actively contribute to the urgent need within the maritime and waterborne transport sectors to reduce emissions by transitioning to green sustainable energy sources.  With maritime transport facilitating 80% of global trading activities, its greening holds immense potential for higher emissions savings and a more sustainable future.

To tackle this challenge and meet the environmental objectives set for 2050, aiming for carbon neutrality, AENEAS is pioneering innovative solutions to enhance overall energy efficiency and promote initiatives to reduce emissions from waterborne transport vessels, including Energy Storage  Systems (ESSs), aimed at enhancing energy efficiency and slashing emissions from waterborne transport vessels.

This upcoming academic workshop is designed to maximize the dissemination of the results achieved so far and to engage researchers, professors, and students from universities, maritime clusters and key stakeholders of the sector fostering quality scientific research and facilitating knowledge exchange.

During the workshop, we’ll be hosting a dedicated Q&A session to discuss the project’s achievements and address any questions or insights from the academic community. This collaborative discussion presents a valuable opportunity to identify potential gaps and further refine our approach towards a greener maritime sector.

Save the date and join us in Naples or connect remotely for an enriching exchange of ideas and insights as we pave the way towards a more sustainable future for waterborne transport!
