AENEAS aims at:

• Contributing to climate-neutral and environmentally friendly maritime transport through next-generation technology solutions;
  
• increasing the global competitiveness of the European maritime industry through new energy storage solutions;
  
• providing solutions to improve overall energy efficiency and drastically reduce ships’ energy consumption by relying on an innovative electrical energy storage system that is safe and cost-competitive
