Fabrizio Monticelli

CEO of ForMare

He graduated with honors in economics and business at the University of Naples Federico II and hold a master’s degree in financial analysis at the L.U.I.S.S. School of Management in Rome.

He is certified public accountant and auditor, and he can boast more than 30 years of experience as project manager of plans for the development of productive chains specifically dealing with strategic planning and financing for the training, research and innovation activities.

He is administrator of Monticelli La Scala Consulting, a consulting firm created between Legal Practice La Scala in Milan and the family’s historic professional practice in Naples.

Since 2019, he has been president of the Productive Activities, Research and Innovation Commission of the Board of the Order of Chartered Accountants of Naples.
He is particularly interested in new skills development. Therefore, he acquired the professional qualification of Technician of Planning and Implementation of Evaluative Activities (TAV).

For more than a decade he has dedicated his professional career to the field of the Blue Economy.
He is coordinator of Marelab, Experimental Center for the Development of Skills in the Blue Economy, whose aim is the draft of professional profiles for the maritime sector for the Campania Region. He is member of the Technical Scientific Committee of BIG – the Blue Italian Growth Cluster, specifically for the area of sustainability and economic uses of the sea. He is a member of the Scientific Committee for the bachelor’s degree course “Command and Management of a Marine Vessel” at the Parthenope University of Naples.

Since 2012 he has been Director and Project Manager of ForMare – National Shipping Hub, a service company and training structure of Confitarma. In 2022, he became its Chief Executive Officer, following the acquisition of ForMare by Confitarma – the Italian Shipowners’ Association.
